Hi All

This past Saturday Kitsap Audubon went to Whidbey Island for the day. We had
over 60 species with only three shorebirds. High lights were - Peregrine
Falcon as soon as we regrouped next to the Keystone Ferry dock. Great looks
at it up in the trees in the state park.

A Snowy Owl in the Swantown marsh (hunting going on here so be careful if you
go) and then we saw 3 Tundra Swans and a Short-eared Owl at Crockett Lake. A
great way to end a field trip. The swans all had different beaks - one was
pure black (which had us all going on a Trumpeter until the new Sibley book
put it back to a Tundra), one had just a very small yellow dot and the third
had just a little larger light area where the yellow normally is.
