HI Tweeters:
I was down at the Waterfront Park in Winslow, Bainbridge Island, WA when
I noticed Mallards flying into a small stand of trees. They landed next to
a group of Madrona (Arbutus menziesii)and started feeding on the reddish
fruits of this tree that had fallen to the ground. Has anyone else seen
waterbirds flying into a woodlot and feeding on fruits of this tree?
Sincerely
