John LeVine asked about the publication date of Volume 4 (the last
volume) of "The Birds of British Columbia" by R. Wayne Campbell et al.
I am in fairly frequent contact with Wayne. The manuscript for the
book was delivered to the publisher (UBC Press) about a month ago.
Given that it takes about 6 to 9 months to go through all the steps
that it takes for a book like this to be published, I think we can
confidently expect publication in 2001. It will be worth the wait!

Hi Tweeters,

With the publication of Kenn's and Sibley's books I began thinking
about the publication date of Vol. 4 of The Birds of British Columbia
by R. Wayne Cambell, et al, published by UBC Press. Does anybody on
Tweeters have any update on its due date?

I believe that it was supposed to be published this year, but have not
heard anything about it lately. Last I heard it was in final checking
and proofing and was to go to press this year. So if anyone has
anything new, I would appreciate hearing.
