Hi Watchers!
Our first Dark-eyed Juncos came in yesterday. It is good to see
them back.
Also, we have had our bi-annual hawk switch as of Sunday.
The Red-tailed Hawks have come back to spend the winter with us. The
day after they show up on our place, our resident nesting Swainson's
Hawk pair leave. They will do the switch again in the spring, the day
after the Swainson's arrive, the Red-tails will leave. We have
watched this happening for quick a few years now. When it happens we
figure fall is really here.
