Sightings for Wednesday, October 4th

At the Boundary Bay Airport, a PEREGRINE FALCON was seen, while in Stanley
Park, near the Stone Bridge on the south side of the park, a late
PACIFIC-SLOPE FLYCATCHER was seen.

Sightings for Tuesday, October 3rd
The juvenile SABINE'S GULL, first seen October 2nd, was again seen at the
tip of the Iona South Jetty. Also at this location were a first winter
BLACK-LEGGED KITTIWAKE and 10 PARASITIC JAEGERS. Look for the SABINE'S GULL
and KITTIWAKE among the numbers of BONAPARTE'S GULLS and COMMON TERNS.

Monday, October 2nd
A CLARK'S GREBE and a juvenile SABINE'S GULL were located at the tip of the
Iona South Jetty.

A MARBLED GODWIT was at the compensation lagoon at the Tsawwassen Ferry
Jetty, while a PEREGRINE FALCON was at Beach Grove in Tsawwassen.

Two GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GEESE were seen on the playing fields east of the
Burnaby Lake Sports Center.

Sunday, October 1st

At Burnaby Lake, a ROSS'S GOOSE was seen as well as a GREATER WHITE-FRONTED
GOOSE

At Point Roberts, there were 5 PARASITIC JAEGERS and 1 HEERMAN'S GULL, while
at the nearby Tsawwassen Ferry Jetty were 1 MARBLED GODWIT and 3 BLACK
OYSTERCATCHERS.

There were several late season sightings, including a WESTERN TANAGER at
56th Avenue and 232nd Street in Langley, a BLUE-WINGED TEAL at Willband
Creek Park in Abbotsford and a WARBLING VIREO in Pitt Meadows.

A PACIFIC GOLDEN PLOVER was seen at Bates Road in Matsqui.

The arrival ROUGH-LEGGED HAWK was reported from Iona Island. Other raptors
include a PEREGRINE FALCON at Iona and an OSPREY in Pitt Meadows.

Saturday, September 30th
At 34th Avenue near River Road in Ladner were 3 GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GEESE.

Near Coquitlam Center was a PEREGRINE FALCON and at Colony Farm was an
AMERICAN KESTREL
