Hi All
Can anyone point toward research about the relationship between woodpeckers
and bark beetles. Specifically I am interested in any of the following
woodpecker species: Pileated, Downy, Hairy, Three-toed, Black-backed,
Red-naped Sapsucker, and Northern Flicker; and three species of bark beetle:
spruce, fir and ponderosa pine.

As I am a long way from any academic library, web sources are highly valued,
but any references, research summaries etc would be very appreciated.

Thanks in advance
