I receive Tweeters in digest form, so this may have already have been
addressed. (Apologies if this is the case....)

In July 2000, AOU split the European and our local Magpie. The Eurasian
Magpie retained the Pica pica, and our local bird is now the American
Magpie, or Pica hudsonia.

I noticed this because it gave me a new bird for my non-ABA list!
