Tweeters,

I was reading a couple of days ago about the spread of the west nile
virus from New York to the surrounding states. The estimate was that
within three years, it will have covered the country. The thing that
scared me was the statement that, so far, the disease was 100% lethal in
crows. I don't know how they know that, since any crow that survived
wouldn't be noticed by the authorities. But this could have a serious
affect on marginal populations of birds, since it seems to show up in
most mosquito populations and now bird populations.

I haven't seen a mention of this on tweeters so far. Is that because
there isn't really anything to say yet?
