I have Jonsson's book, and it's very good. I have experience with many of the birds in the book from a trip I made to central Asia a while back (before the book came out, alas); for the birds I knew, I could look at Jonsson's drawings and say, "the bird looks exactly like that." His drawings of pipits and stints alone are worth the price; the level of detail in pattern and posture is mind-boggling. Please leave your Peterson at home, it will only confuse you.
