Hi, Hal.

I just tuned in to tweeters briefly and saw the account of the "mallard x
shoveler" hybrid. The observer should be informed that there are lots of
mallards out there (only those with domestic genes?) with reddish sides. I
can't post to tweeters from this address yet (keep forgetting to ask Dan),
so I'd appreciate it if you would forward this message. I don't have the
e-mail addresses of very many birders at home; have to rectify that.
