that The Canadian Wildlife Service has just published:

the Russian Far East. Canadian Wildlife Service Special Publication,
Ottawa.

Gary Kaiser of Canadian Wildlife Service writes:

The publication reviews the latest information on the distribution and
abundance of breeding seabirds on the Pacific coast of Russia. As well as
chapters by the senior editors, there are two by V.P. Shuntov and an
excellent analysis of fisheries by-catch problems by Y.B. Artyukhin and V.N.
Burkanov. Each section is accompanied by French and Russian abstracts.

As we might expect some of the eastern Russian birds on our coast, this
would be an interesting addition to the birding library.
