I went up Johnson Ridge this morning and had White-winged Crossbills ( a small flock, not with the commoner Red Crossbills).
Johnson Ridge is north of Skykomish and is in the southeast corner of Snohomish Co. Other birds seen up there were:

1--Blue Grouse
4--Hairy Woodpeckers
1--Flicker
1--Pileated Flicker
only Chestnut-backed Chickadees
1--Ruby-crowned Kinglet
lots of Golden-crowned Kinglets
4--Robins with much more white around their eyes then I am use to seeing. They were eating Mt. Ash berries near the top in the
snow.
many Varied Thrush down lower
8--flocks of Red Crossbills
1--flock of White-winged Crossbill
commonest bird--Pine Siskins everywhere
