Subject: Snow Goose near Bellingham

Tweeters,

While taking a short morning drive near Ferndale, I noticed a solitary white
bird in the middle of a plowed field. Being new to the area I decided to
see what bird was in the field. I noted that it was a Snow Goose and moved
on not knowing that this particular bird is listed as uncommon on this side
of the cascades (A Guide to Bird Finding in Washington,1991 , Wahl and
Paulson). I come from Texas and was used to seeing snow geese on a regular
basis in the winter months.

Take care,
Dwayne Rogers
Ferndale WA
