Tweeters,

I went over to Ocean Shores yesterday afternoon to try and find the
Kingbirds. I arrived at about 3:15pm(Fri.)just as it was beginning to
sprinkle, but the wind was already really whipping. I searched the area
until dark and decided to wait stay until morning to see if the weather got
any better. During the night the weather got worse and worse, pouring and
blowing greatly until it died down sometime around midnight. I searched
again for the Kingbirds from 8:30am to around 1pm(sat.) with no luck. It
had stopped raining and was actually sunny this morning but the wind was
still about half of what is was fri. afternoon. Then by 11am it began to
sprinkle off and on as well as the wind increased until it began to pour
again. So as I read in earlier posts, I missed the birds by several hours
as they had been seen up until fri. a.m. Hopefully these birds are just
hunkering down until the wind dies down and the weather gets a bit nicer. I
also bumped into Marvin Breece and Ruth and Patrick Sullivan this morning
and they hadn't had any luck either. Maybe I can get away for a few hours
mid-week and try again!
