TWEETS:
Here in exurban Joyce, our neighbor, Steve Carlyle, called to say he had
a BLUEJAY. I went over and there it was. Whether it will stay is another
matter. We both have multiple feeders and large numbers of STELLER'S JAYS so
it well may stay. On the other hand the STELLER'S may well feel that it
degrades the neighborhood and run it off. I suggest you call before you
come, if you are interested. Steve's number is (360) 928-0101 and, mine is
928-3053.
Clallam has had a SCRUB JAY, a BLACK-BILLED MAGPIE and a YELLOW-BILLED
MAGPIE in the last year. The MAGPIES were felt to be so far out of bounds
that they could not have gotten here on their own power. If there are any
experts lurking out there, do you think this bird got here on its own?
Personally I think it did but then I thought the CRESTED CARACARA might have
gotten here on its own wings.
