Obolers,

Visited Simpson Park for the first time in a few months and enjoyed a
nice 2.5 hour walk in sunny, calm weather. Walked the entire trail,
crossed over the creek at the north end of the park, visited the
settling pond just north of the park on Wah Chang property, and
walked back to the parking lot via the railroad tracks along the east
side of the park. Highlight birds included a male McGillvrays
Warbler, a Greater Yellowlegs in the settling pond, and a Pileated
Woodpecker at the north end of the trail. Nice day with a total of
48 species seen.
