Sightings Sunday, September 3

A trip to Point Roberts produced 2 PARASITIC JAEGERS and 11 RED-NECKED
PHALAROPE.

The Tsawwassen Jetty again was the location for a MARBLED GODWIT and today 3
BLACK OYSTERCATCHERS.

A REEVE was discovered in the west field at the Reifel Refuge. Also
observed were 4 STILT SANDPIPERS, 2 GREEN HERONS, a MERLIN and a PEREGRINE.

>From Boundary Bay near the foot of 96th came the report of 3 STILT
SANDPIPERS, a GREEN HERON, a MERLIN and a PEREGRINE.

The WANDERING TATTLER was again reported from the tip of the Iona Jetty.

Saturday, September 2

The WANDERING TATTLER was again reported from the tip of the Iona Jetty. It
was also reported from a location along the north side of the Jetty a
distance from the tip. Eight SURFBIRDS were also reported from the tip. A
VESPER SPARROW was sighted feeding on the roadway just before the 1st
shelter. Observed on the NE pond at Iona were a STILT SANDPIPER and 8 BAIRD
'S SANDPIPERS.

A MERLIN was seen on the monthly bird survey at the Maplewood CA in North
Vancouver.

Eight RED-NECKED PHALAROPES were sighted at Point Roberts.

The Tsawwassen Jetty was the location for the MARBLED GODWIT, 52
BLACK-TURNSTONES, 4 BLACK OYSTERCATCHERS and the WILLET.

A GREEN HERON was reported from the Reifel Refuge.

A PEREGRINE was seen at the Beach Grove Lagoon.

Friday, September 1

A WANDERING TATTLER was observed from the tip of the Iona Jetty. Two BLACK
TURNSTONES were seen near the 2nd shelter and a LAPLAND LONGSPUR by the 1st
shelter. At the Iona ponds were a MERLIN and 2 BAIRD'S SANDPIPERS.

>From the Tsawwassen Jetty came the report of the WILLET at the base, and
joining the MARBLED GODWIT at the compensation lagoon were 14 BLACK
TURNSTONES and a STILT SANDPIPER.

Thursday, August 31

On a trip to Cypress PP a GOLDEN EAGLE and a NORTHERN WATERTHRUSH were
sighted.

Wednesday, August 30

A NORTHERN WATERTHRUSH was discovered in Stanley Park at the west end of
Lost Lagoon near the wooden bridge.

Out of town at the Tofino Sewage ponds was a RUFF. In the same location but
seen on Tuesday the 28th was a LARK BUNTING. For more information on these

The juvenile LONG-BILLED CURLEW continued at Blackie Spit.

Reported from the Tsawwassen Jetty were 4 BLACK OYSTERCATCHERS, 2 BLACK
TURNSTONES, the WILLET, the MARBLED GODWIT, and a RUDDY TURNSTONE.

>From the Iona sewage ponds came the report of 8 BAIRD'S SANDPIPERS, 1
SEMIPALMATED SANDPIPER and a RED-NECKED PHALAROPE.

Tuesday, August 29

A GREEN HERON was seen at West Vancouver's Ambleside Parks display ponds.
