For those of you who read my turkey vulture reports and noticed the
Mississippi Kite numbers for August: on Labor Day, yesterday, in 107*F, the
hawkwatchers at Hazel Bazemore Park in Corpus Christi counted 2,111
Mississippi Kites. With the local humidity figured in, the heat index was
at about 129*F. They also counted these migrants, along with others,
against a blue sky! I'll take Salt Creek!
