I promise I won't keep posting numbers from elsewhere, but for those of you
interested in raptor migration and not on BirdHawk, this might be of
interest. Today at Pointe Mouillee State Game Area in Southeasten Michigan,
they tallied 1,484 Broad-winged Hawks. After living nine years in New
England, we collectively decided that the 14th of September was the peak
date for Broadwings. This is only the 5th, so maybe fall is early-ish. My
turkey vultures better stay put up north!
