The Indian Ford BLUE-WINGED WARBLER and the Hart Mountain HOODED WARBLER

Headquarters.

Offshore boat trips out of Bandon and Depoe Bay September 2 found all
three jaegers and many shearwaters. The Bandon trip recorded 340 CASSIN'S
AUKLETS; the Depoe Bay trip found a very unusual 3450 PINK-FOOTED
SHEARWATERS. Over 4000 RED-NECKED PHALAROPES were off Boiler Bay August

An AVOCET was at Gold Beach September 1. An AMERICAN GOLDEN-PLOVER and an
early SHARP-TAILED SANDPIPER were at Bandon September 3. A BAR-TAILED

River September 1. Two ELEGANT TERNS were there the next day.

A SHARP-TAILED SANDPIPER and a RUFF were at the South Jetty of the
Columbia River September 1. The next day a PRAIRIE FALCON was observed
chasing the RUFF, and a LONG-TAILED JAEGER was seen chasing a PARASITIC
JAEGER just offshore. The RUFF got away.

The first SANDHILL CRANES have now arrived on Sauvie Island. On September
6 a STILT SANDPIPER was at Ankeny NWR south of Salem. An EARED GREBE was
also there. Two SHORT-BILLED DOWITCHERS were at the EE Wilson SWA north
of Corvallis September 6.

On August 30 a CATTLE EGRET was at Schoolhouse Lake in the Summer Lake
SWA. The next day a SABINE'S GULL was seen there. It may still be in the
