Tweeters,
After reading Joan Carson's birding column on Ravens in today's Tacoma News
Tribune, I was reminded of another Raven/Crow ID tip that really works, but
that one never hears put into words. This one was nailed down by my
birding buddy, Faye McAdams:
If you see a dark corvid flying overhead while driving:
If it's flying across the road, it's a CROW.
If it's flying down the middle of the road, it's a RAVEN.
So far, when positive ID has been possible, it's never failed.
