Hello Tweets,

Today my mother and I birded at a few local spots, mainly in Grays Harbor
Co., including Brady Loop Rd., with our best bird of the day being two BLACK
SWIFTS over the Brady Loop Rd. wetland at 2pm, as they foraged with a few
swallows. We birded the wetland thoroughly during our visit, and came up
with the following:

8 GREATER YELLOWLEGS
1 LESSER YELLOWLEGS
4 PECTORAL SANDPIPERS
1 SEMIPALMATED PLOVER
10 LEAST SANDPIPERS
6 WESTERN SANDPIPERS

We also birded the loop road back along Foster Rd, then onto Monte-Brady
Loop Rd., with a few notable highlights, but relatively few birds:

1 AM.KESTREL
1 BARN OWL

Several notable numbers of TURKEY VULTURES were encountered throughout,
including two locations that produced "kettles", including 34 at Rochester
in Thurston Co., and 54 at Satsop in Grays Harbor Co., as they are gathering
up for migration.

On our way home we stopped by the Shouweiler Rd. wetland, just E of Satsop,
despite the threat of rain, and observed three AM.BITTERNS, and a single
male RING-NECKED DUCK in molt, along with a few NORTHERN ROUGH-WINGED
SWALLOWS mixed in with more common Barn Swallows.
