I walked the trails here between 1257 and 1420 on September 9. The
weather was coolish and humid, the temperature being 16oC under 100%
cloud cover with no wind and a brief shower. The ground and foliage
was wet from recent rain. I saw or heard few birds, only the juvenile
Wood Ducks being especially noteworthy. Additionally, I heard two
flocks of Kinglet spp.

Birds seen (in taxonomic order):

Wood Duck 4 [1]
Mallard 3
Northern Flicker 1
Black-capped Chickadee 1
Song Sparrow 4

Footnotes:

[1] Three of the Wood Ducks had developing cheek patterns; one did
not. One had a rather greenish top to its head.

Total number of species seen: 5
