Diann,
Your halcyon address just bounces back. This is a turkey vulture
report: Two TV's were seen on September 12, 00, riding the thermals just
on the east edge of Leavenworth, WA.
FOR TWEETERS AND EVERYBODY:
While attending a university retreat at the Sleeping Lady Resort, saw
many, many W. BLUEBIRDS, YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLERS, RED CROSSBILLS, both
RED-BREASTED AND WHITE-BREASTED NUTHATCHES, AMER. GOLDFINCHES, intensely
red-shafted NORTHERN FLICKERS plus an unfortunately not well-documented-
by-me flock of what appeared to be COMMON GRACKLES (rather than Brewers'
Blackbirds; I only noted after returning to Seattle that any Grackle
species is rare in WA state!) and a life bird for me, the WHITE-HEADED
WOODPECKER all on the grounds within the resort lodging areas. Fantastic!
(Note: If anyone else has seen or reported Grackles in WA in the past
week, I have been off Tweeters connection.)
Cheers, me2
