Just a few notes from a trip today, with Brenda Senturia, through Brady Loop
to Tokeland and on to Westport.

Birds of note included 1 Pectoral Sandpiper and 6 Long-billed Dowitchers at
Brady Loop ponds. We also had two groups, of four each, of Sandhill Cranes,
flying high overhead, towards the south, further up the valley.

At Tokeland 300 Marbled Godwits, 3 Bar-tailed Godwits, 3 Short-billed
Dowitchers along with 1 Willet, 2 Whimbrel, and most surprisingly, 1
American Avocet.

At Westport there were two Pacific Golden Plovers at the base of the jetty.
Further out was a group of rockpipers that included about 8 Black
Turnstones, 12-15 Surfbirds and 1 Wandering Tattler.

That's All
