On Sunday, Sept. 24th my wife and encountered about 600 SANDHILL CRANES
on the River "S" Unit of the Ridgefield Refuge in Clark County. The next
day while flying over the refuge I saw more cranes in areas inaccessible
to visitors and counted 63 GREAT EGRETS in Campbell Lake.
