There were 55 fog-bound GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GEESE at parking
lot C today. A single CACKLING CANADA GOOSE was also in the
flock. The tide was high enough to drive the SEMIPALMATED
PLOVERS into the parking lot. There were 12 AMERICAN PIPITS
(at least one with pink legs) and a LAPLAND LONGSPUR on the
flats.
There were also 2 SNOWY PLOVERS on the river beach (though
I didn't see them). They were apparently banded with yellow
bands. I'll let Todd elaborate.
shorebird count -
Black-bellied Plover 37

Mike Patterson Alas, to wear the mantle of Galileo,
Astoria, OR it is not enough to be persecuted
celata at pacifier.com by an unkind establishment,
you must also be right.
