Hi Tweets,

I birded the montlake fill today, in the rain. It was
pretty slow, but there was a strange warbler in the
bushes along the path leading from the Center for
Urban Horticulture. It was in a flock of
yellow-rumps. I got fairly decent looks at this bird
and I am pretty confident that it is a BLACKPOLL
WARBLER. The wingbars on this bird were fairly
distinct as were the white edges on the primaries, and
there was just a little bit of faint stippling and
streaking leading from the throat and down the sides.
This was very light however. The belly and undertail
were white. I have seen fall Blackpolls when I used
to live in St. Louis and I am fairly sure that is what
this bird was.

In addition, there were 12 GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GEESE
circling above the fill for about 30 minutes or so
before I left. The started to land several times on
bothe the pond and Lake Washington, but each time they
pulled up short and started circling again.
