Hi Fill-O-Philes --
Does someone have a checklist of species seen at The Fill that they could
post to the list or send me privately?? It'd be most appreciated!
I was out there today and watched the Yellow-Rumped Warblers that hang out
in the trees near that little stream to the left (if you're looking at
Husky Stadium) off Wahkiakum Lane for a bit. While there I heard something
that sounded for the life of me like a Virginia Rail. Are there VIRA at
The Fill?? Naturally, did not see it. Nor was I able to duplicate Marv
Breece's trifecta, although I saw about 30 species, the usual suspects. It
was great to see the Violet-Green Swallows, and there were even a couple of
Barn Swallows among them, the longer, forked tails a dead giveaway.
Good birding,
