While hunting for redtail nests--or even a sight of redtails!--in Seattle
yesterday, I spotted a very handsome western grebe at the Mount Baker
Beach bathhouse. Well, he was in the water!
Further south at Seward, there were common merganser pairs, many goldeneye
and buffleheads, gadwall, mallard, crows hassling a bald eagle in the
woods, flickers, and a muskrat at Seward bathhouse (swimming).
