Sightings for Monday, April 2nd

On Sea Island, a TURKEY VULTURE was seen in over flight at Grauer Road,
while a WESTERN MEADOWLARK was at the Iona outer parking lot.

A NORTHERN ROUGH-WINGED SWALLOW was at the Burnaby Lake Rowing Pavilion. A
YELLOW-HEADED BLACKBIRD was seen on the Richmond West Dyke at the west end
of Williams Road and an AMERICAN KESTREL was seen in the 160th Street and
74th Avenue area of Surrey.

The White Rock Pier was the location for several BRANT and 2 MARBLED
MURRELET.

Sightings for Sunday, April 1st

Several RUFOUS HUMMINGBIRDS have been reported throughout the Lower
Mainland.

At the Iona South Jetty was an adult female LAPLAND LONGSPUR. Nearby at the
outer ponds were a male YELLOW-HEADED BLACKBIRD and a RING-NECKED DUCK. An
AMERICAN KESTREL was seen along the new runway on Sea Island and the same
species
was seen on Deltaport Way in Delta.

In Point Roberts a NORTHERN ROUGH-WINGED SWALLOW was seen. At the nearby
Tsawwassen Ferry Jetty were 3 BLACK OYSTERCATCHERS.

The PALM WARBLER continues to be seen in the Southlands area of Vancouver at
the south end of Carrington near the bridge to Deering Island. The bird has
been located most easily in the morning.

The BRAMBLING continues to be seen at 1961 Berkeley Avenue in North
Vancouver. Birders are reminded not to arrive before 8am. The bird is most
active in the morning. Access to the yard is via the gate to the right of
the house. Also on the North Shore were a EURASIAN WIGEON and a RING-NECKED
DUCK at Ambleside Park. 6 GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GEESE were at the Maplewood
Conservation Area.

A morning survey of Reifel Refuge saw a young NORTHERN GOSHAWK, an AMERICAN
BITTERN and SANDHILL CRANES already nesting. A ROUGH-LEGGED HAWK was seen at
33A Avenue in Delta. A GYRFALCON was soaring over Crescent Park in South
Surrey

Sightings for Saturday, March 31st

The BRAMBLING continues to be seen at 1961 Berkeley Avenue in North
Vancouver.

The arrival CLIFF SWALLOW was seen at Iona Island sewage ponds. A
RING-NECKED DUCK was at the outer pond.

A GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GOOSE was seen at 53rd & MacDonald in Vancouver.

Sightings for Friday, March 30th

The PALM WARBLER was seen in the Southlands area of Vancouver at the South
end of Carrington near the bridge to Deering Island.

A Eurasian GREEN-WINGED TEAL and a hybrid Eurasian/North American
GREEN-WINGED TEAL were at Boundary Bay Regional Park in Tsawwassen.

4 BLACK OYSTERCATCHERS were at Lighthouse Marine Park in Point Roberts
