RUHU(males)
Husum, WA 03-22-2001 82 45.80 121.49
Squamish, BC 03-26-2001 85 49.70 123.16
Abbottsford, BC 03-27-2001 86 49.07 122.82
Ketchikan, AK 04-01-2001 91 55.35 131.66

3 males and 3 females were captured and banded at the Neawanna
Ecological Observatory on Sunday.

For many years people have told me that ANNA'S HUMMINGBIRDS stop
coming to their feeders when the RUFOUS HUMMINGBIRDS arrive and
chase them out. The male Anna's at my feeder has apparently not
heard about this tradition. He sits in the holly tree singing and
chipping and rigorously runs off all male Rufous Hummingbirds that
come near.

Mike Patterson Alas, to wear the mantle of Galileo,
Astoria, OR it is not enough to be persecuted
celata at pacifier.com by an unkind establishment,
you must also be right.
