Subject: chickadees at hummer feeder

We have some chickadees doing the same. The hummer feeder is the same
as yours WITH the perches. We have both chestnut-backed and black-
capped and it seems the black-capped are the ones doing the drinking.
The hummer feeder is about 4 feet away from the platform feeder for all
the other birds. At first, I thought they were just resting, but I have seen
them take a drink the same way you've seen yours. Very strange, but I
guess not so strange.
