Further to Bob Sundstrom's comments, Bald Eagles frequently congregate
around cattle calving areas in the southern BC Interior in February
and March, and feed on the afterbirth. One such locality is the
Coldstream Ranch east of Vernon, BC, where I have seen up to 20 or 25
Bald Eagles in late February, and there are undoubtedly a number of
other localities where similar eagle concentrations occur.
