In years past (many), I have climbed most of the high Cascade peaks and
done much hiking in alpine territory. However, while I knew ravens and the
occasional hawk, I didn't keep track of anything smaller.
I am presently working on an article about birding in Washington state.

My question to those of you who go to the *top* of the mountains: what
birdlife have you seen on the high slopes? Near the top of Mount Rainier I
had a raven. That's my list. I would like to be able to cite at least a
couple more species; they can be migrants, but they need to be up in the
glacier area, not at timberline.

Any help would be much appreciated and you may reply to me directly.
