Watched A Great Blue Heron work the Ruston Way shoreline Saturday and was
able to get close enough to take a few pictures. You can see them at
http://www.tacomabirding.homestead.com/ What a good looking guy (girl?).

Also on my web page is a set of pictures is of an unidentified Goose (?) I
have seen a number of times hanging with the Canada Geese in Tacoma. Anyone
know what this guy is? Common garden goose? Mutant mixed with Canada swamp
goose from hell?
