I got this interesting email from my brother in Minnesota. He lives on
Shakopee Lake which is about 100 miles north of Minneapolis and just south of
Mille Lacs Lake near Onamia, MN.

"Came back up? yesterday to see 60 Bald Eagles on the ice of Shakopee Lake..?
We often get 20 at a time, when they are migrating, but never this many.? The
reason they are all here, and staying, is we have had a compete freeze out of
the? fish in the lake and they have all kinds of dead fish to feed on.? There
are literally thousands of? dead fish along my south facing shore, that has
open water a little ways out. It started a month ago and they are beginning
to
smell a little bit.? Lots of fertilizer for the garden."
