At Montlake Fill today was an adult male YELLOW-HEADED BLACKBIRD on the
northernmost pond.. The PALM WARBLER is in full breeding plumage now. I
saw an AMERICAN PIPIT at about 1:45PM. Several CINNAMON TEAL are also at
the fill. While watching the PAWA, I flushed an AMERICAN BITTERN. At the
main (largest) pond was one WESTERN SANDPIPER with 1 LEAST SANDPIPER. A
MERLIN flew through at light speed low to the ground (glad I didn't blink).

I also spent a couple hours at Spencer Island today in Snohomish County.
Heard 1 SORA. The RED-SHOULDERED HAWK is still there is the same area it
has been all winter.

It was a good day.
