Yesterday I posted a note about a nuthatch in a chickadee nest box. Today I watched a different nuthatch taking dog hair from a suit feeder. When I clipped one of my cocker spaniels, I put a bunch of his hair out for the birds to use in their nests. Was neat watching a bird help her/him self to the hair. This nuthatch did not go to the nest box.

I saw my first hummingbird at my humming bird feeder, today. Then it went to the suit feeder and looked and poke arond it from all sides. Do Hummers use animal hair for any part of their nests?
Of course, when I got my camera, it was done poking around the hair!

I think i got a picture of the nuthatch poking its head out of the nest box. Hope it turns out.
