I got this note today. That's a lot of Bonaparte's.

Birding note: last evening over 1400 Bonaparte's Gulls in alternate plumage
migrated past our house on Alki in about a 30 minute period. Not sure how
many more had gone by before I noticed. It's customary they come by in a
big chunk around this time, but we've never seen more than a few hundred in
one passing.
