The TUFTED DUCK was in the middle pond at the Astoria Sewage
Ponds this morning.

A single PURPLE MARTIN was at the Ziak Refuge in Brownsmead.
CLIFF SWALLOWS were along the dike road. There were at least
two VESPER SPARROWS in the area, one on Jackson Rd and one
on Bug Hole Rd.

Steve Warner saw at least 50 GREATER YELLOWLEGS at Stanley
Lake in Seaside. A WANDERING TATTLER was on the SJCR Sunday.
An alternate plumage LAPLAND LONGSPUR was doing a partial
song the same day.

BLACK-THROATED GRAY and WILSON'S WARBLERS were along the
bike path near Battery Russell, Ft. Stevens.

The local EUROPEAN STARLING has added Evening Grosbeak and
an American Robin alarm call to his growing repetoire of
songs and calls. For those of you who've lost count, he
does:
Bald Eagle
Killdeer
Western Scrub Jay
Yellow Warbler
American Robin
Evening Grosbeak

Mike Patterson Alas, to wear the mantle of Galileo,
Astoria, OR it is not enough to be persecuted
celata at pacifier.com by an unkind establishment,
you must also be right.
