Tweets, Back when we lived in Kansas, we had a large number of spotted
crow, usually in winter and early spring; which greatly amused me when I
discovered the reason. They would roost in large numbers in the trees along
the Arkansas River,(leaving a horrid stench on the warmer days). And as
things turned out, there was a very good reason to be at the top of the
roosting tree, you were a bit safer from your neighbors inappropriate
bathroom habits.(but who knows if you were subject to the great horned owls,
another complication in the life of such an intellegent bird). Their spots
always disappeared when nesting season started though......
