Hi!

Thur Mar 22 my father saw a BLACK OYSTERCATCHER flying over Ediz Hook.
Sat Mar 24 my mother and father saw the WESTERN MEADOWLARK on a wire at
Jesslyn & Sequim-Dungeness.
Sun Mar 25 we had one FOX SPARROW at our house.
Tue Mar 27 we saw the White Tailed CHESTNUT-BACKED CHICKADEE looking in our
Bluebird house, and it is now nesting with a normal CBCH there.
Wed Mar 28 my mother saw a male RING-NECKED PHEASANT on Deer Park Road.
Thur Mar 29 we had a male HOUSE FINCH at our feeder. When we first moved
here we had VERY many House Finch, including yellow, orange, and salmon
colored variants. But for the past 6 or so years they have become very rare.
Sun Apr 1 there was a male PURPLE FINCH singing at our house.
Sun Apr 1 we saw 50 BRANT and 3 GADWALL at Ediz Hook.
Tue Apr 3 we had our first WHITE-CROWNED SPARROW at our house.
Wed Apr 4 & Thur Apr 5 my dad saw the male RING-NECKED PHEASANT on Deer
Park.
Sat Apr 7 on 101 near Guiles Road in Gardiner we saw a male AMERICAN KESTREL
sitting on a wire.
Tue Apr 10 we saw two very late FOX SPARROW at our house.
Wed Apr 11 my dad saw a PEREGRINE FALCON at Ediz Hook.
Thur Apr 12 my dad saw 2 WHIMBREL and a BONAPARTE'S GULL on the harbour side
of Ediz Hook.
Mon Apr 16 we had a TREE SWALLOW at our home looking in the occupied
bluebird house.
Wed Apr 18 we saw our first BARN SWALLOW flying over the Kirner Pond.
Thur Apr 19 we had our first 2 BROWN-HEADED COWBIRD calling on Island Vista,
9 days later than they arrived at our house last year.
Thur Apr 19 we had a female DOWNY WOODPECKER at our house, which are fairly
rare here.
Thur Apr 19 my mom saw a male BARN OWL on Deer Park in approximately the
same location we saw the BAOW previously, but that individual was much
larger..
Fri Apr 20 at our house we had 1 DOWNY WOODPECKER, 1 HAIRY WOODPECKER, & 1
NORTHERN FLICKER eating suet, 6 VIOLET-GREEN SWALLOW looking at the bluebird
house, 1 OREGON JUNCO collecting nesting material and 23 BAND-TAILED PIGEON
at our feeder.

We've not seen the KESTREL pair on the Sequim bypass often or recently.
We have not seen much of the HARRIER pair at our house, wherever they're
intending to nest appears to be too far and too low for us to see.
