Last Thursday, 4/19/01, around 5pm I saw what I feel quite sure was a black
& white warbler at cottage lake near woodinville. It was in tree about 50'
from me and I had a good view with binoculars for about 30 seconds to a
minute before it left the area. I went back to car for camera and stayed in
park for 2 or more hours but it never returned. I did see some yellow-rumps,
1 myrtle and 2 Audubon's. Also worthy of note was an osprey that sat in tree
overlooking lake for about 15 minutes before tiring of being harassed by two
crows and taking his leave. numerous swallows, redwing blackbirds, ducks,
cormorants and one domestic? white goose were also seen. enjoyable evening.
