Tweeters,
Saturday's (April 21st) Protection Island cruise resulted in the sighting
of a Tufted Puffin on the wing on the south side of the island. It was in
characteristic flight & took all of us by surprise. We spotted another
approx. 10 minutes later which may have been the same bird.
It was another outstanding birding trip & resulted in the sighting of an
elephant seal on Protection Island and two California Sea Lions lounging on
the Pt. Hudson buoy.
