I just got a phone call from a man in Yakima who said he saw a male Snowy
Owl today on his way to Othello. After crossing the Vernita Bridge, Highway
24 curves up a long hill. He said the owl was perched on a fence post a
short way east of the crest of the hill.

On their way home, the owl was not on the same post, so they turned around
to search the area again. They found the owl perched beside an old
refrigerator close to the road. He said he was able to get a couple of
photos of it and will call me if they turn out.
