Doug and Tweeters,

They're mainly along the outer beach between Copalis and the Ocean
Shores jetty, I'd guess. Tens of thousands today shortly after high tide
(at high, when high enough, they may roost in undisturbed areas).

There were also fair numbers along Burrows Rd. (between Hoquiam and
Hogan's Corner) on the rising tide, along with 150+ White-fronted Geese.
Hundreds of Marbled Godwits (and dowitchers) were also on the OS golf
course.

When the tide gets lower and the flats in the harbor become exposed,
the shorebirds tend to disperse from the beach. This Fri. - Sun. is a
razor clam season, so I wouldn't predict what will happen along the beach
then. Golfing is becoming more active, too.

Cheers,

Bill
