1500 western sandpipers

500 dunlin

60 dowitcher sp.

50 semipalmated plovers

1 greater yellowlegs

4 least sandpipers

A large group of shorebirds was observed at mini-moon island as the tide
was receding at dusk. ?An estimate of numbers could not be made. ?A
peregrine falcon and merlin arrived at different times during the survey to
keep the shorebirds alert, making a good show for all.
