Subject: RED-NAPED SAPSUCKER ON LUMMI ISLAND: FOLLOW-UP

Tweeters,

Following up on Clark Blake's report of a RED-NAPED SAPSUCKER on April
25 on Lummi Island, Whatcom Co., I noticed that there was a report of
one the same day at Queen Elizabeth Park in Vancouver, BC. How's that
for a coincidence?

The latest Vancouver RBA transcript (covering April 23-26), including
the sapsucker report, apparently hasn't been forwarded to TWEETERS
yet, so here it is for the record.

As a point of interest, Queen Elizabeth Park is the locality for more
than half of all Vancouver sightings of RED-NAPED SAPSUCKERS. It is a
reliable migrant trap, and is heavily birded in late April.
