After I got a copy of David Sibley?s "The Sibley Guide to Birds" I thought
how nice it would be to have page numbers by the birds shown in the
group/family pages, e.g., page 50, 57, etc. I finally decided to tackle the
problem. I went thru all the group/family pages and identified the page where
each species is shown in detail. I used "four letter" codes for the birds to
save time and space, but I think you can figure out the species when you look
at the page listed. I typed this information into a Microsoft Word file. This
file can be printed on "clear or white label or poster paper". Then cut and
remove each page number and paste it in the book. There are almost 300 page
numbers involved so it does take a little time, probably 4-6 hours to do all
the birds listed. Instead you could write the number in with a pen or pencil
which would take less time.

If anyone is interested in a copy of the Word file email me and I will send
you a copy as an email attachment.
